 “Tophat Jewellery” was established, by Tony and Helen, 15 years ago mainly making items from haematite

semi-precious stones. 

Haematite is a mineral consisting of iron oxide which is mined and polished to give a black lustre finish.   The black beads can then be electroplated to give various colour effects.  The most popular is the rainbow effect.  

These beads were then used with various other beads to produce a range of varied and affordable jewellery.

Over the years the range has grown and now includes items which are hand enamelled here in Yorkshire.   

We also have a range of birthstone crystal jewellery enhanced with Swarovski crystals.

In 2023 Tony started making wood mosaic items from salvaged timber.

This has proved to be very popular and this year we have been selling illuminated Christmas trees since May.

Prices range from £10 to £95 depending on the size and number of lights.

These are available with multicoloured or warm white lights.
